Terry Wallace is a graduate of Millsaps College in Jackson, MS, and the University of Mississippi School of Law in Oxford, MS. He is an experienced attorney who represents clients in civil and criminal matters in both state and federal cases. He is extensively skilled in trial litigation. He started his legal career as an attorney with the Judge Advocate General's Lawyer's Corp. of the United States Air Force. During his military service he defended clients in criminal court martials and other military proceedings. After completion of his military service with an honorable discharge, Attorney Wallace’s experience has expanded from military law to include experience in such areas as personal injury and accidents, criminal defense, divorces, child custody, support, and other domestic family matters. Terry Wallace also has years of experience in handling municipal and other governmental law cases, constitutional rights matters, property disputes, and other plaintiffs or defense claims.
Attorney Wallace is an effective communicator in the courtroom, as well as other public and administrative forums. He has served as a presenter at numerous continuing legal education seminars and courses for other lawyers. He has also served as an adjunct professor within the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at Jackson State University, for graduate and PhD students.
He served as the City Attorney for the City of Jackson from January 1998 through June 2005. In this capacity, his office was responsible for providing legal advice to all city officials, departments, and programs, to include matters involving state and federal trial litigation, planning, zoning, eminent domain, condemnation, environmental, administrative, legislative, public policy, redistricting, annexation, judicial, and other legal issues.
Attorney Wallace is licensed to practice in the United States Supreme Court; The United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, DC; The United States Court of Federal Claims; The United States Court of Military Appeals; The United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals; The United States Northern and Southern District Federal Courts of Mississippi, and other Mississippi State courts.
