Angela Williams recently joined Gibbs Travis PLLC as an associate attorney. She brings an extensive background in Criminal Law and Social Security Disability. Prior to joining the firm she was the founding partner of The Law Offices of Angela D. Williams, PLLC. Angela has been representing disability claimants since graduating law school in 2009. In 2009 she became an associate with a well-respected and highly recognized firm where she litigated social security disability claims before Administrative Law Judges and was successful in reversing unfavorable social security disability claims through oral argument in Federal Court. Angela looks forward to continuing to represent those individuals who are fighting for their Social Security Disability Benefits with Gibbs Travis PLLC. In addition to Social Security Disability, Angela also brings the area of Criminal Defense to Gibbs Travis PLLC. Angela has successfully defended clients charged with a wide array of crimes, from violent felonies to misdemeanors and DUIs.
Angela was admitted to practice law in Mississippi in 2009. She is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi. Angela is a member of the Capital Area Bar Association as well as the Magnolia Bar Association. Angela received her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Mississippi Valley State University in Itta Bena, Mississippi in 2005, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Mississippi College School of law in Jackson, Mississippi in 2009. Angela has clerked for both State and Federal Court Judges.
In addition to her legal practice, Angela enjoys traveling, playing tennis and practicing Yoga.
